Vertical farming

growing vertically

Vertical farming is the practice of cultivating plants in vertically stacked layers, vertically inclined surfaces and/or integrated in other structures (such as into a skyscraper, shipping container and more).

WHAT IS VERTICAL FARMING?

Vertical Farming (Vertical Agriculture) enables all year round and sustainable cultivation of food in the smallest of areas through the verticalization of cultivation methods and the use of natural energy resources.

WHY VERTICAL FARMING?

Scarce resources, decreasing the availability of cultivable land and the growing need for sustainable food production is calling for alternative solutions.
